Well It's been a while since I last updated this site on the status of my CNC table. I have spent quite a few hours working on it lately and managed to get it working quite well.
The controller cabinet houses all my electronics and the computer. Here is a photo of it
Top Left to Right Yaskawa Sigma 2 Amp 400W - X Axis (Cross) Yaskawa Sigma 2 Amp 400W - Z Axis Yaskawa Sigma 1 Amp 200W - Master Y Yaskawa Sigma 1 Amp 200W - Slave Y Cheapo Chineese 2.2Kw Spindle VFD
Middle Left to Right Mesa 7i33 4 axis analog interface Mesa 7i43 Parallel Port FPGA with 48io 24Ch Opto22 Relay Rack
Bottom Left to Right Contactor - Amplifier Power Main Fuses 24V + 5V Power Supplies
Mounted on the Door is the computer to control it all. It's a SolidLogic Atom 5677 Mini-ITX System. I was very impressed with this computer, especially for running the Enhanced Machine Controller software. It has more than enough power to run everything and has been rock solid so far.
The table still needs some more work, here is a photo before power track and a table.. Well I guess it did have a table.....
And the first thing I cut out leaning against the cross axis..... |
